About me
I'm Tony Law, a senior full-stack engineer focused on fintech, cross-border payments, payment gateways, and AI-assisted financial tooling. I have built production systems across web, mobile, backend APIs, financial product workflows, monitoring, and internal platforms.
My recent work sits at the intersection of software engineering and markets: options research tools, AI-assisted U.S. equity analysis, publishing automation, and product infrastructure for financial workflows. I care about systems that are useful in the real world: clear ownership, observable behavior, reliable delivery, and interfaces that make complex financial decisions easier to reason about.
Before building independently, I worked on cross-border financial products, payment infrastructure, and R&D management systems. That experience shaped how I think about product engineering: software should survive compliance, operations, regional rollout, and actual user pressure, not just look clean in a demo.
Experience
Independent Projects
Full-stack engineering practice around fintech products and AI-assisted finance workflows.
- Modules: THETA options risk tooling, AI US Stock Analyst, publishing automation, Hono/Prisma product stack, Python market-workflow scripts.
- Responsibilities: designed financial product flows, built type-safe frontend/backend contracts, maintained automation pipelines, and reviewed cross-border payments, KYC/AML, settlement, and serverless architecture.
XTransfer
Lead Software Developer for cross-border financial products.
- Modules: cross-border FX, funds, credit, account workflows, Mainland China and Hong Kong site integration, shared business components, i18n scaffolding, Sentry dashboards, and business anomaly reporting.
- Responsibilities: led Web and React Native architecture for compliance-sensitive financial flows; broke down requirements, wrote technical designs, coordinated delivery with backend/product/operations, reviewed code, integrated APIs, improved LCP/accessibility/monitoring, and mentored engineers through architecture discussions and AI-assisted coding practices.
Lalamove
Senior Software Developer for payment gateway and payment management systems.
- Modules: payment gateway, payment-channel integration, multi-region and multi-currency payment services, payment management platform, monitoring SDK, H5/NPM/SDK distribution, and universal cashier for PC, mobile, and mini-program scenarios.
- Responsibilities: extended Java/Spring Boot backend services; refactored the legacy payment management frontend from Vue to React; established repository, build, release, and deployment foundations; improved payment observability and compliance-oriented operations; and reduced integration cost through reusable cashier and SDK patterns.
ONES
Software Developer for R&D management systems.
- Modules: KA customer customizations, backend APIs, data models, business modules, and internal management tools.
- Responsibilities: delivered Go backend features and front-end pages across product, design, and operations workflows; balanced performance, maintainability, and delivery schedules; and reduced manual operational work through workflow tooling.
